Configure and deploy

We saw in the architecture discussion that a DevForce application has three logical layers: a data layer, a back-end service layer, and a client layer.  These layers can be deployed to different physical locations, called tiers.  We'll discuss these configuration and deployment options and implementations in the associated sub-topics.
