DevForce uses a four-digit versioning system. e.g. 6.0.3.1. Each digit indicates something specific, and in case you're curious, here is how it works:
We encourage you to upgrade DevForce to the latest version. The Installation Guide and Release Notes provide detailed information about the versions and what steps (if any) you need to take to upgrade your software.
Not sure what build you are currently using? Don't fret. There are a few methods you can use to find out.
You can view the version number by examining the property sheet of any referenced IdeaBlade assembly.
From the Windows Start menu, the DevForce version is shown on the shortcut:
You can also examine the DevForce assemblies in the installation directory which is typically located at C:\Program Files\IdeaBlade DevForce 2010.

The log file generated when your application runs, typically called Debuglog.xml, also contains the version of DevForce in use:
