Take a tour

Silverlight

The DevForce Silverlight tour walks you through the basics of using DevForce to build a simple Silverlight application. In six installments of 15 to 20 minutes each we'll take you on a whirlwind tour of DevForce Silverlight and leave you with a solid foundation to build from.

WPF

Windows Store apps

The DevForce Windows Store tour provides an introduction to developing Windows Store apps with DevForce 2012. 

You'll build a simple two-page app, but you'll learn how to write n-tier LINQ queries in DevForce, how to handle asynchronous queries and saves, how to abstract data management into a DataService, and simple navigation techniques.

The DevForce Windows Phone tour provides an introduction to developing Windows Phone apps with DevForce 2012.

• .Net 4.5
• Entity Framework 5
• Windows 8 (required only for Windows 8 Store/Phone app development)
• Windows Phone 8 SDK (required only for Windows Phone 8 development)
• Silverlight 5 (required only for Silverlight development)
• SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or any other relational database with an ADO.NET Data Provider
